Terms of Service
Operated by ValizAir · Draft for launch — final legal review before real payments begin.
1. A marketplace, not a carrier
ValizAir is operated by ValizAir as an introduction service. ValizAir never takes possession of your package, never consolidates cargo and never files customs entries. The traveler who carries your items is the carrier, and is personally responsible at customs for everything in their luggage.
2. Who can use ValizAir
You must be 18 or older and complete identity verification before posting a trip, sending a package or receiving a payout. One verified identity means one account.
3. What can be sent
Only the whitelist: documents, books, new clothing and shoes, and personal gifts. Prohibited: medicines for others, phones and telecom equipment, cash in Tunisian dinars, used clothing (friperie is prohibited in Tunisia), counterfeits, weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, hazardous items, perishables and anything illegal anywhere on the route. Packages are never sealed before handover: the traveler inspects the contents against your item list and photos, and may refuse any item, with a reason.
4. Prices, fees and the $300 cap
Prices use billable weight (the greater of actual and dimensional weight). The ValizAir fee is a published percentage of the traveler's earning only — 12% at launch. The airline extra-baggage fee is a separate sender-paid line and is never fee'd. The maximum declared value is $300 per package, and $300 is the maximum recovery for loss or damage. Airline liability is separately capped at approximately $2,080 (1,519 SDR).
5. Payment held until delivery
The sender pays when the traveler accepts. Payment is held by the payment provider until delivery is confirmed, and is released only when the receiver confirms with their private delivery code. The receiver never pays anything.
6. Customs and duties
Declarations must be truthful and complete. By sending, you pre-commit to reimburse duties charged on correctly declared items. Customs seizure of a misdeclared item is not a covered loss.
7. Appointments, delays and no-shows
Handover follows the appointment window tied to the live flight. A flight delay or cancellation is never a no-show: the booking pauses and reschedules. Otherwise, after a 30-minute wait and two in-app contact attempts, a no-show may be marked: a sender no-show compensates the traveler from the hold; a traveler no-show refunds the sender in full and records a strike (two strikes suspend the account); a receiver no-show allows a 60-minute grace after landing, then a city re-delivery within 24 hours, code still required.
8. Lost or damaged
Report a problem from the booking within 48 hours after delivery. Reporting freezes the payout while the evidence (manifest, photos, timestamps, chat) is reviewed. Recovery is capped at the declared value, maximum $300.
9. Location sharing
Inside an active booking, the traveler may share live location with the matched sender and receiver, only under the per-booking agreement with its GPS clause, from the appointment until delivery is confirmed. It stops automatically at confirmation.
10. Liability and law
ValizAir's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law; the platform is a marketplace, not the carrier. Governing law and venue are set at launch with counsel. Operated by ValizAir — contact: support@valizair.com.
